June 26 is a special day of Parinirvana anniversary of the glorious Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon - founder of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.

Jigten Sumgon is a great enlightened yogi, a true manifestation of Nagarjuna, the one who realized interdependent arising. He gathered tens of thousands of students. Direct Jigten Sumgon's lineage holders are two great Bodhisattvas - Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang and Drikung Kyabgon Chungtsang, in the current 37th and 36th incarnation. To the present days Drikung Kagyu lineage is famous by great scholars, yogis and Mahasiddhas.
