Dear friends, we are happy to announce that Garchen RInpoche's Ukrainian "Drikung Ratnashri Center" invites you to Kiev for teachings of Drupon Yeshe Zangmo from 23 to 27 February. Teaching will be translated into Russian language.

Teachings of Drupon Yeshe Zangmo (Rachel Dodds) in Ukrainian Drikung Kagyu Ratnashri center from February 23 till February 27, 2012.

Drupon Yeshe Zangmo is a student of Garchen Rinpoche since 1999 and in 2008 she completed a traditional three year retreat in Almora under the guidance of Champa Rigzin Rinpoche, and then continued study of the practices and rituals. In 2010 H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche authorized Garchen Kyabje Rinpoche to assign the title of Drupon (Retreat Master) to Rachel.

Recommendation letter for Rachel Dodds from Garchen Rinpoche

Rachel Dodds (Yeshe Zangmo) became my student in 1999. From that time until 2004, she visited all summer retreats in the Chino Valley, Arizona, where she studied Buddhist philosophy and meditation practice. She lived and worked in the Garchen Buddhist Institute in Arizona, where she made daily practices and 100-day closed retreat on Four Thoughts in 2002.

From 2003 till 2004 she was active in the organization's of first three-year retreat with Western students in the Drikung Kagyu lineage. This retreat was held in Almora from 2004 ttill 2008 under the guidance of HH Chetsang Rinpoche. Retreat led Drupon Champa Rigzin Rinpoche, following the monastic tradition. Also monks of the Drikung Kagyu lineage from different regions of the Himalayas attended retreat . During the retreat, Rachel practiced Five-fold path of Mahamudra and the Six Yogas of Naropa, including a fire puja and study all aspects of the rituals. From 2008 to 2009, Rachel went on to study the rituals, including the construction of sand mandalas and preparing torma. She deepened her knowledge of different aspects of three-year retreat. Living in the Songtsen library in Dehradun in India, she helped HH Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche in different cases, and continued to study classical and colloquial Tibetan language.

I am very pleased with the progress of Rachel in her practice and academic studies and fully charging for her as a teacher of the Dharma. I am confident in the quality of internal and external training practices of Rachel, including her conception and meditation. Thanks to these qualities, Rachel, and her sincere desire to benefit sentient beings, I have received from Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche's right to assign her the Drupon title or retreat master.
